I am considering the purchase of a used Yamaha 225 in the Dallas/Arlington, Texas area. Looking for a well qualified mechanic that would be willing to inspect the engine and, to the extent some work is needed, complete the work.

google" yamaha outboard dealer locator" look for a dealership with a master tech and ask that that tech inspects it, not a rigger.
5 star is good but always remember its simply a video course.
other than that look for the Yamaha school certificates on the wall.
