looking to buy spreader lights for soft top?

Hi, im looking to buy spreader lights for soft top? Looks like all applications im looking at are designed for a hard top. Im sure they can be retrofited for a soft top. I def would like a little extra deck light. Oh its a 20 foot grady. So was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to install lights on soft top?

Drill a thru hole in the tubing in the middle of the soft top and mount one of these. Maybe they have a cover that would fit over it for when your soft top is down.

FWIW: I rarely use my spreader lights. Too bright and use too much juice.
Might want to consider changing out the cockpit lights with high output LED lights instead.
