Ok I was shopping for some new parts last night and I was thinking the looper is a 60 degree motor and the crossflow is a 90 degree. Is that right. Also just by looking is there a way to pull this off the serial or model number. Everything I found on the model number doesnt seem to tell me. Be great to know, thanks

The early V loopers are 90 degree then in the mid 90's they went to 60 degrees and now I understand they are 90 again. You can tell by looking at the cylinder and crankcase parts diagrams for the various engines.

Certain looper models like the 200 / 225 / 250 / 275 / 300 have always been 90*. Other models like the 150 / 175 (Eagle series) loopers have always been 60* models.

The 120 /130 /135 /140 loopers have always been 90*. The 90 & 115 loopers are 60* blocks.

V4 & V6 crossflows have always been 90* blocks.

Once you get into the E-Tecs there are some differences like the small block 200 is a 60* motor and there is a 90* 200 E-Tec too.
