looper charging/rectifier???

1993 120 Looper, tach works sometimes, volt meter stopped working, power trim only goes down and only with engine running. Voltage at battery drops .04 volts with engine running.<br />I tested all the wiring in the power trim system and every thing checks per manual. Relays work on my other motor. Do you think all these things are related??

Humm.... good question. Its possible I guess to get ultra low voltage and the trim not work. But it doesnt matter, we need to change the reg/rec before the wiring catches on fire. Unlikely but very possible. Then see what the trim does.<br /><br />BTW -- you can install a 35 amp reg/rec on your smaller system. You just cant go the other way.<br /><br />Good luck.
