Sorry about the spelling my phone keeps changing words over and over again.

Ok so I have had a on going water leak coming from the transom.it comes from the plate on the inside of the transom.so I was poking around and found the two top bolts loose.how many bolts are on the inside plate.i hope to god this fixes it lol.this boat has been trouble sense I got it.

Ayuh,.... Those bolts don't loosen, by themselves,...

Well I drilled threw the transom a few mounts ago and it seemed to have good wood.i did a few holes and patched them up with fiberglass.the guy that owned the boat I think he thought he was a boat mechanic and was not.ive found a lot someone has messed with.

In your previous thread ...on going water leak just about all was telling you have a rotten transom. Drilling a few holes and some coming up wet confirms it, pretty much. The location of where the holes were drilled can also be an issue as to finding wet wood.

I mean I know it is probably in the stage of rotting but still has a good bit of life left(this year).i found like one place that was wet but still very stiff.im just wondering if just 2 bolts holds the plate tight or is their 2 on the bottom.

Think the total is 8 bolts,nuts. Coming from the plate inside means nothing. Loose rotted transom is a trickle from the bottom. A rotted transom or a very hard bottom strike can cause it. A visable trickle is either a corroded hole, bellows, shift bellow, exaust Y pipe.
