Just purchased a '93 Baja Islander 180 and noticed the throttle/shifter is pretty loose. There appears to be a threaded hole at the base of the shifter that I am guessing is where a tightening screw or bolt should be. It looks like the "screw" is missing as it is just an empty hole. Any ideas where I could find this part?

Most likely the set screw is just a bit loose, try some small allen wrenches

You may need to rotate the handle forward or backward a bit to align the holes to get to the allen screw.

Can you post a few photos of your shifter? That might help out a bit here.

If the control arm has a round or square plastic push button for Neutral then you may as well order a new button. They are cheap enough and most of the time you will break the retaining snap/latches when attempting to remove the button in order to tighten the loose control arm mounting bolt underneath the button.

Thanks guys. The set screw was way up there, but found it and tightened it and it works great. Hopefully, it will hold.

If it works loose again use a couple drops of Loc-tite blue on the set screw...;)
