Hi all,

Very odd problem happen to me. I can start engine just fine and it runs great however if I shut engine and will try to start it back - nothing happens - no click – nothing.
However all gauges work - in couple of min if I will try again - it will start back like nothing happened.
I am suspecting 2 things:
1. Bad ground somewhere
2. Bad neutral switch.

Any advices where else to look?

Thanks

Re: Loosing ground

Don,

It is a very helpful material by you and I already studied it :)
I just spend a little time testing and discover that it related to the control level. If I move it forward and backward and stop it exactly in the middle it will start. Is there switch that I need to clean up? What are the steps to disassemble it?
I got Bayline 85 v8 5l OMC stringer 800

Thanks

Alex

That is where the neutral safety switch lives. I have no idea how OMC mounted them, but they are there.

Re: Loosing ground

theres little grooves in the slider in the handle. the old grease gums up in there and it holds them up
