hi, my buddy has a lorance x-75. we are having a problem figuring out why were not getting reading in shalow water. from 5' or deeper it does ok. we have everything set on auto settings. when he bought the boat a month ago the transducer was not mounted in the boat, it had come loose. we mounted it with marine tex epoxy. wondering if the transducer is bad. we checked before mounting by listining to the transducer cliking sound.
