Lose Of Power 40hp Force

I have a 40hp Force 1996 it runs great for a little while and then it boggs down. I can put it in idle and open it up for a few seconds and then it runs great again, fuel lines and pump have been checked and looks good.I can't seem to find the source of the problem. Thanks for any help!

Hi, Dotsond. Sure sounds like you are using fuel faster than it is getting to your carbs. Since you've checked the fuel pump and the line, I suggest you check your tank vent and the fuel pickup inside the tank.<br /><br />A quick way to verify that the trouble is fuel starvation is to pump your primer bulb when it starts bogging. You might also try a portable tank with a new line and primer bulb.<br /><br />Good luck.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB
