i got a 1979 omc inboard outboard stringer OMC 400 with a GM 181 cid motor
i got the motor and upper unit in and a new boot seal.
well i hung (installed} the out drive got everything tight, then noticed
that i could move the out drive about less then a 1/4 inch out by the prop from side to side!!
is there an adjustment in a worm gear??
i put a new water pump in the unit and new ball gears and seals could i have messed something up??
It has never been loose and now i am kind of worried
can anyone give me any advice here please
