Im at a loss. My 95 200 black max starts and runs great at idle, but when I try and throttle up to plane out it has very little power. This happend all of a sudden. I had 3 good years out of this motor but now Im at a loss for what happened. I started it up and pulled each plug wire while running and 5 cylinders seem to be fine but when I pull the sixth wire it does not seem to effect the way the motor runs. I am getting spark to this wire. Anyone have any tips? Thanks

Check the spark plug tip to see if it looks like the other plugs (oily/darkened) or if it is clean and shiny. If it is clean and shiny, then you may have water getting into the cylinder.

Re: loss of power at full throttle

there is oil on all of them. I don't know what could of went wrong. I was out for a few hours running great and then all of a sudden, I have no power. I drained fuel tank and filled with high test gas, and drained the carbs. I,m now getting an alarm when I try to go wide open. It is not a steady alarm it is a bunch of beeps one after the other. Then after a bit the motor shuts down. It will start right back up, and idle fine. The temp gauge is reading above 200 degrees, and there is a strong stream from the tell-tale so I know its getting water. Any thoughts anyone?

It may be the same problem I had, Try replacing the bulb, or fuel filter. I had junk in my filter. Worst case scenario it could be your stator control box.
