I have a 2002 Cobalt 226 with a 6.2 and Bravo 3 outdrive. I live in the Tahoe area. I had the props repaired about a month ago after hitting some rocks. Now I am not able to reach the top speed I use to. Before my top speed was 55 mph at about 5200 rpm. Since the repair top speed is about 48 mph at 4600 rpm. Should I go back to shop that did the repairs? The guy told me he would bring them back to factory specs. when I brought them in.

It sounds like the pitch got altered. Have them checked again.

You may be able to do it yourself. Search on this forum to find the post that describes it well - "Measuring Prop Pitch at Home" by hwsii. If you don't find it or hwsii missed this post, I can email you the file I saved in .mht format.

Also, if you didn't "time" them when you re-installed them, take them off, and time them. It's not a requirement for Bravo 3s, and I never noticed any difference at all, but i know one guy that does notice a difference.
It is possible that your props were a little light on their pitch from Mercruiser. And when the prop guy repaired them he got them to factory specs. It could happen.
