Lost forward / reverse simultaneously

I have 69 Evin. 18 hp. I was just on the river cruising and hit shallow water without warning.The motor hit the rocks hard and now forward and reverse wont work. When you shift to either, the prop locks in but it will not turn.The water pump is still working also.<br /> Any ideas?

Howdy, Jsouthco.<br /><br />Hav you pulled the prop to look for a sheared pin? I don't remember exactly when rubber hubs replaced shear pins on small Johnnys, but that would be my guess.<br /><br />Good luck.

Thanks for the quick response. Could it be the shear pin if the prop still locks in when you shift into gear?
