Howdy, have a 1975 15 Johnson that did the same thing 15 years ago, on the Johnson there's a big rubber bushing inside the prop hub, seems to 'break loose' under an instantaneous over- load, took mine off, looked at it,smacked the rubber bushing with a cork mallet a bit to seat it back to the hub. Let it sit on the bench for a couple days, never a problem again.
