a few weeks ago I hit a log at a pretty low speed(maybe 15-20 mph) but fast enough to jar the motor pretty good.
on the way in the overheat siren went off & I shut her down & trailered her right then.I ran it on the hose for about
30 minutes the next day & it did fine.next time out it never overheated but I lost almost 10 mph top speed & by the trim
gauge the prop loses bite at about half the trim I used to run at wide open.still seem to get the same rpm at wot.the prop didnt
have any visible damage and there is no more vibration than there was to begin with.any ideas what might have caused my loss
of speed & the trim requirements to reach full rpm to have lowered?thanks

sorry for that oversight, it was a long winded post & I just forgot to post the info.it is a 1997 force 120 model# h1204td dont have the serial number handy but it is one of the higher numbered ones.I have seen reference to this in the manual before & dont know if that would
matter with this problem or not.the motor is on a 1997 astro 1700 17' bass boat.thanks again for all the help!!! :D
