Hello all Thank you for looking. I have been working on my boat and unhooked the fuel vent line. i took boat out on external tanks and now was going to fix vent line The line is hooked to tank and runs under deck to side then comes up to side of boat . during run out on water i must have bumped the fuel hose down and now cannot reach to pull to let out of the hull. Only have small access to access hose for the vent through hull. Question is how do i retrieve the line back up to vent outlet on side of hull. Not sure if i explained problem well enough but any questions or input would be much appreciative

man, that don't sound good. if ya can't reach it, ya can't reach it. yer gonna have to fig. a way to go get it. drill access hole? i don't know. pics might help. sounds like a pretty bum deal though. sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do even though it's a bummer to do...

if it makes ya feel any better. i had to pull my engine this summer just to R&R a oil pan.. workin on boats sure can be fun, well, not always..

one thought, i use my digital camera to see places i can't see but can get my hand into. maybe ya can get a pic of the allusive hose and fig. a way to go get it.. i don't know?

i do wish ya luck though.

A long stiff wire (coat hanger) with a hook bent into the end might work if you can grab the hose with it.

I have new-found respect for my closed bow with the tank sitting on the stringers behind a removable kick-board and all hoses running above the deck inside full accessible gunwales :)

my vote would be a coat-hanger as well, or one of those spring grab things what ever there called with the claw on the end.
