Lots of exhaust

Just bought a 2000 Sport Craft IB with a 350 Mercruiser. Never had an IB and there seems to be a lot, maybe too much, exhaust coming out and swirling into the boat. Color of the exhaust is a light whitish. After a day on the water there will be some black on the stern under the swim deck and some on the sides of the boat at the water line. Is this normal or excessive? Thanks, JEC

Excessive.....
You should do a tuneup & check your choke for proper operation......
I'll bet your plugs are black, too....​

Definately running too rich, there should be no visible residue on your boat. Like HM said, time to check carb/choke opperation.
