I got to run my pontoon with the new (to me) 2001 4 stoke 75hp merc . I noticed that it sits lower and splashes alot more water around the motor pod and back of the toons than it did with a 1983 90 hp 2 stroke mariner .

I know the merc is about 90 pounds heavier than the mariner. There is no water in toons I've shook it repeatably. Any other reasons?

Mine did the same thing too.

After I underskinned it, it dosen't do it as bad. The water hits the floor and shoots off in a nice wide stream now:p

Mine did the same thing, I moved the motor up 1 hole as it seemed to be plowing a little and this helped alot.
