It seems that most of my lounge seat hinges have broken from seating on the tops of the seats. can someone point me in the right direction for these hinges. It seesm that they are a stepped style hinge so its not going to be at my local parts store.
Any help will be appreciated.

Re: lounge seat hinges

The ones in my Crownline broke the same as yours have. I looked EVERYWHERE to try and find them even contacted Crownline all to no avail. I did find some at a commercial hinge/hardware company that were close but I still would have had to modify them some to make them work. I ended up making my own out of piano hinges(heavy duty) and angle iron. and riviting it all together. Basically used the angle iron to make the steps and at the correct offset and depth. It was kind of a pain but I redid both seats even though only one was broken I figured the other wasn't too far behind. Its been two seasons of heavy use now(and I still sit on top of the seat backs) and the homemade hinges are holding up quite well. Hopefully you can find some that will work on your application, but if not they are possible to make. Good luck with it.
