So I'm toolin' around the house on my only day off, walk up to the barn to find my can of carb cleaner, and there sits one of those 10 cubic foot tilting yard trailers you pull behind the riding mower  Has a tag on it from the local thrift store that the wife frequents. So I know who, and where, but why, and how much??

So I text the wifey. Uh, something you wanna tell me? She picked it up for $70, talked them down from $100. This thing looks like its never been used, not a scratch on it. No rust, good paint. Even came with the hitch pin. Methinks these retail for about $200...so she done good.

Wait a minute. Dammit, this means I gotta do yard work

Count yourself blessed. I can't remember the last time my wife bought me anything. That reminds me to start a new thread on a similar topic.

The yard work is there whether you got the trailer or not. I know it's hard to see, but your lovely wife just made your life easier.:)

Re: Love My 'Thrifty' Wife!

Sounds like my kind of woman, I love finding bargains, my husband is always amazed at how much money I spend getting bargains, lol

Seriously though, it is very nice sharing a hobby with my husband (fishing/boating) because what I usually therapy shop at Cabelas for fishing/boating gear and we can both use it..so it is all good :D

Hey, bought him his own personalized Musky rod, thats gotta count for something

My wife brought home a perfect Pioneer radio/cd player for the conversion van. $7.50 at the thrift store.

Money she saves she spends on fishing tackle.
