low compresion on 1988 omc 1.6 liter sea drive

Gess ran 4 tanks of gas this past summer some think rings are stuck comp. is 90psi had car comp.meter is there a such as a boat comp.tester.Should I still try a decarb on the motor or not waist time how hard it is to change the pistons in this motor

By all means try a decarb.As long as you can get a good reading any tester should be fine.They all are notoriously inaccurate.You might try another for camparison.It is a plus they are even.I my mind any piston change is a major pain.

Thanks alot trying to get all enfo I can to see witch way to go with this thing I will still try the decarb trick if you guys think it might be worth the time thanks alot from a empty pocket right now hope to get to the bottom of this thing befor SUMMER till next time LATER!
