Re: low idle problems 1991 fastrike

do you have a spark that will jump a 7/16 gap?

most idle probs that i have seen are due to poor comp, dirty carbs, or weak spark, but not all.

you cannot just pull the hood off and look at the carb and say "well shes clean"... you may be able to clean them and reuse the old gaskets if you are carefull but you are better off to rebuild when you clean them...ive cleaned and not rebuilt a few but when and if i do i cant gaurantee there wont be any leaks.

it doesnt take much to plug those little orifices. ive pulled them apart and they look slick as a whistle but a good cleaning solved most of the idle probs ive encountered.

how does your reed valves look?
