Maybe this should go in SHT? But we were on Lake Jackson yesterday and managed to catch this on video, guy must have been no more than 10 feet off the water.

That is a Maule M-5, N722CB. It is registered to a Delaware corporation, which is a common state property tax dodging technique.

In any case, the pilot is dumber than a box of rocks. If the FAA sees this video, they could fairly easily go after the aircraft operator to find out who the pilot was.

Why'd you remove the video? Pilots like this give all pilots a bad name. The public already has a negative perception of pilots, this guy should be held accountable and the vid might help in that.

Was it a question of exposing iboats to liability?
