My 1990 120hp has a hard time getting on plane with an 18 pitch prop that it didnt have problems with before. Today we had three people in the boat and 1 livewell full. one of the guys had to get on the front deck to bring it down. After we got on plane and trimmed out, top end was 46mph at 5650 rpm. I came to the dock and swapped to my 17 pitch prop. Got on plane slow but nobody had to get on the deck to do it. Top end was 43mph at 6000 rpm. The motor is running right at about 4000 rpm when trying to get on plane. It seems to be low on power from 2500 to 4500 rpm.
