low oil buzzer

Can anyone tell me what makes the buzzer sound for low oil? Is it low oil in the tank or in the system? or does it monitor at the point of injection. Mines buzzing on and off, when I put the tan wire to ground on the temp sensor its on all the time so I am thinking it must be oil?

You might tell us what year and model for your motor. Newer motors have 4 sensors, older models have less sensors.

The other thing to mention is the buzzer is now going off. Boobie you have left a comment on my other post, thanks. The oil buzzer started at the same time. I think its the oil buzzer as when I ground the wire from the temp sensor its a constant buzz, this is on and off, could this be connected? is it also a function of the buzzer. Thanks in anticipation guys.
