I'm getting ready to rebuild the carbs on my '71 60 hp 3 cyl,and looking at the exploded view of the factory manual, there is supposed to be a "bearing" on the end of the low speed needle.
It didn't come out with the needle, but with a light inthere , it looks like there is one down there.
How does one go about retrieving the old one?

Thanks---------Robert

Robert..... If when you look deep down into that hole, it appears that the small bushing is okay, leave it be and reuse it.

However, should it need to be removed, I gently screw into it a small tap such as a 6/32 NC tap, (whatever will grab it) and pull it out of there.

RL....new needle bearings come with OEM carb kits. To remove the old one, take a piece of wire and put a small hook in the end. Push it down throug the old bearing so the hook catches it and pull it out.
