Ok I have a 1988 bayliner trophy. Problem is I have very low voltage at idle, and when motor is wide open only at 13v on the dash meter. when I slow down voltage drops. If i turn the key on its at or below 10v

Problems having:
Trim tabs not moving
Engine wants to cut out when trying to trim outdrive up or down
when trimming or trying to use trim tabs voltage drops below 10 then comes back up when you let off the button.

Pulled the altenator off tonight going to have it tested in the morning. Any other problems you guys might think it is?? Thanks

I think checking the alternator is a good thing but remember that your tabs are driven by an electric motor. It's a small 12V that pumps fluid through the lines to activate them. Might want to give that motor a test as well. They don't last forever. Also have your battery checked. Could be something as simple as a bad one. :D
