Hey guys, i am currently looking for a new boat. I am near the D.c. area and we have a wide range of waters to fish. I am currently looking at the Lowe 175 FS. My first question is how will this boat handle in the Chesapake bay for striper? It has the deep v hull and just wanted to get your thoughts. Has anyone taken a boat like this out in the bay or offshore? It's similar to the Tracker Targa. I also have a few restricted lakes and fish the potomac often as well for small mouth and catfish. I need something that is easy to tow and veratile. Given my requirments will this boat handle the open bay for the occasional striper and then be okay for everything else? I am looking at aluminum boats becasue of the towing weight and price.

THanks.

It should be OK. Just watch your days and the weather.

Well I figured that. I just wanted to make sure it would be comfortable on an average day. I beleive the bay runs on average 1-2ft and of course there are days it will be worse and days that are better. But the boat is pretty versatile like the Tracker Targa sereis. Does anyone know if these boats are farily reliabile? I have heard Tracker has had weld problems.

Thanks.
