lower carb leaking gas

Need some advise just purchase a 1996 skeeter with 120 hp motor boat run great just one problem when motor is shut off lower carb starts leaking gas what steps do I need to take to find the problem.<br /> Any advise would be appreciated.<br /> Bearcat81

Close the vent on the fuel tank and rebuild the carbs and fuel pump. Also R&R the fuel hoses.

What is the cause of the leaking gas, just curious?

Needle valve in carb or seat is bad and fuel flow is not shut off in carb. Is the motor tilted up when it leaks or in the down position?

To answer question is on tilted up position.

Dont mess with it then. Most motors will spill gas when tilted up. Float cant seat because of the angle. If motor runs good dont mess with it.

Some of the force motors will leak out of the carbs when tilled up. i had an 86 125 it did the same thing...it ran fine...just leaked alittle when up.
