Dropped lower end on an '81 9.8HP Longshaft to replace water pump impellor. My first time doing this. <br /><br />Left it in gear (reverse) so I could turn driveshaft from Prop for re-alignment. Have tried to re-install lower end with motor lying on its tiller-arm side and with motor upside down. Water tube appears to be going into pump outlet tube OK. Seems to be hung on the drive shaft. Neither the drive shaft or the shift shaft have engaged their splines. Any tips?<br />Bob
