Lower Gear Oil

[93 Regal USAF]

I've searched the threads and can't really find a clear answer to this question. Can I use any heavy weight (ie, SAE 90) for the lower gear lube? Specifically, is I bought Mobil 75w-90, would I be okay? I have the Alpha 1 Gen II drive.

It's better than Nothing,............. Better than Water too..........

I run Mobil 1, 75W-90 in Mine..........

Just remember the lower and upper share the SAME oil through a sealed hole between them


Just so you refill it completely
