lower uint oil

can you use lucas oil in the lower uint or is there a better oil for it

Lucas makes a great 75- 90 full synthetic that should do great in your lower unit. Maybe with that oil you could extend the timeframe for changing it. I still like to do it once a year myself and I use the cheapest 80 - 90 gear oil that I can find.

I would use whatever is recommended. You don't mention what motor so go with what the manufacturer requires.
