Lower Unit Compatibility - 1988 35 HP replaced with 1986 45 HP

Hi,
I have a 1988 35 HP Mercury long shaft (2 Stroke). The lower housing is damaged and I am shopping for a used replacement. I found a decent one online but wasn't sure on the fit. It is also a long shaft but off a 1986 45 HP. Does anyone know if this is a compatible replacement?
