Lower Unit Compatibility 1994 88 SPL

Ran into a deal on a 1990 Evinrude 120 HP lower unit. I was wondering if it would fit my 1994 88 SPL Johnson. I thought it might be nice to have a spare since the price is right. Will it fit? Thanks in advance.

If it's a 20" shaft it's a direct swap outside of changing the shift shafts. (unscrew yours and screw it in the 120 unit) The 120 unit will have a driveshaft that has an o ring at the top. You don't need it. Your driveshaft o ring is in the crank.
