Lower Unit gear oil.

I have a 1998 Mercury 60hp 2 stroke ELPTO and was wondering if there is a certain type or weight of gear oil to use in the lower unit? Any help is appreciated.

Mercury or Quicksilver Premium Gear Lube will work fine.

Any marine gear oil for mechanical shift motors is fine. They have Dino, or synthetic, your choice.
