Lower unit ID help-maybe Verado

I have a lower unit here that I'm not familiar with. The housing is the same as for the Verado but the shift rod cover is smaller than others I've seen. Also, most of what I've seen for Verado seems to have a 1.75 to 1 ratio and this is a little less than that-maybe about 1.67 to 1. The casting number by the shift rod is 1623-822442-C2 but I can't find any info on that, either. There are 13 splines on the driveshaft and 15 splines on the propshaft. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

If it is 1:62 ratio its likey a Mercrusier unit and its easy to tell as it will have oil passage hole on gear housing flange.That casting was a generic from what I found....

I wasn't sure if I was seeing what you mean about that but maybe I can get you to take a look. I posted it on ebay and the listing ID number is 320655071500 If you paste that number into the ebay search, it'll come right up. Thank you so much for your response and your help.

It a outboard and it fits the 20" 3.0 liter engines as the Verado unit has the oil vent screw above water intakes. This unit also can be purchased in the 1:62 ratio......
