Lower unit ID help-maybe Verado

I have a lower unit here that I'm not familiar with. The housing is the same as for the Verado but the shift rod cover is smaller than others I've seen. Also, most of what I've seen for Verado seems to have a 1.75 to 1 ratio and this is a little less than that-maybe about 1.67 to 1. The casting number by the shift rod is 1623-822442-C2 but I can't find any info on that, either. There are 13 splines on the driveshaft and 15 splines on the propshaft. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

If it is 1:62 ratio its likey a Mercrusier unit and its easy to tell as it will have oil passage hole on gear housing flange.That casting was a generic from what I found....
