i have a 99 5hp 4 stroke and replaced the impeller , no problem there, but in putting it back together i had to reposition the gear shift and messed something up, i pulled the drive shaft,gears. washers and there was a small rod about 2 inches long that meets the shift lever, it came apart so fast i could not see where everthing fell apart from . there is a small piece the same size (about 1/4 inch long) as the 2 inch rod,,,,where does this go or is it a broken part..... also i downloaded a free complete parts and service manual saved it to pc, then pc crashed lost everthing and i cannot find the site again to download the manual can anyone help me..it is a nissan .(forgot)
