Lower Unit Leak

I got my 1980 DT65 back from I lower unit re-seal 2 weeks ago. I haven't run it since getting it back from the repair shop. I have the motor lying down on its back. The transom clamp on the floor and the prop facing up. It is leaking profusely from where the lower unit bolts to the motor leg.

What could the repair shop have screwed up Does the motor have to be stored upright? Should I return it to the repair shop?

gear case oil? unburned fuel and oil?
what is the color?
what does it smell like?

It's leaking lower unit gear lube.
