I went to go change the lower unit oil and removed the vent& fill screws but removed the wrong screw for the drain. The drain plug was broke off so ididnt see it. I thought the drain was some a screwtype pin. The one that sits almost all the way to the bottom of the lower unit. When I relized it was thewrong one i put it back and it tightend right back up? The gearshift was in neutral and i tested the gearshift in buy movingit back and forth and i coulnt turn the proppeller by hand hen it was in gear. when in neutral i could spin it freely. Did i mess anything up? Can I use an easy out to get the bottom drain plug out? Any suggestions i really appreciateit? Thanks

Re: Lower unit messup

if you didnt move anything after you removed it, and it shifts fine your probably ok, ive never seen the bottom plug break off in over 20 years are you sure it is not an allen head [look real close] hope this helps bret

If you need further assistance please email me @ forcepower01@yahoo.com. thanks,Bret

The motor I have is a 1989 Force 125. I looked at the screw and it doesnt look like an allen head.
