Finally got my parts. Going ahead and get the lower unit done first, then will move on up to the carb, fuel pump, points and condensers. Removing lower unit was a breeze, just went slow and easy and it slipped on down gently after turning the flywheel in forward a little. After I got off, I removed the four screws of the top of the water pump, pulled the pin out of the top of the shaft and slid the housing up and off the shaft. The old impeller came with it stuck up in the housing. My first observance was that impeller looked different because the tips were all bent in one direction so it would fit. My new one's tips were staight out and appeared that it was too big. BUT...after more observance and thought, I guess you have to cause them to bend and fit in there. I have just this second being made a fool. My wife just came in and told me I needed to read the manual futher and explained to me that I needed to put a little light oil on the impeller and a little inside the housing, slide the impeller down and then the housing and spin the shaft and work with the housing and she just came back and told me she has it ready for the screws and that it will seat on in there and we work with the housing and screwing it down !!!!!!
