Lower unit oil for '98 6hp?

I am wanting to change the oil in the lower unit of my '98 Mercury 6hp 2 stroke, and the owners manual does not specify what type of oil to use. Does anyone have this outboard that knows what the correct type of oil I need to use?

The correct oil (by the Merc service manual) is Quicksilver Gear Lube Premium Blend. That said, I use nothing but Quicksilver High Performance Gear Lube in EVERY engine I service.

Chris, thanks for your quick reply and info...can either one of these be purchased anywhere or will I need to go a Mercury dealer?

Both are Merc dealer only...
