lower unit oil

got a 73 mercury 20 hp. how much oil will the lower unit hold and should i put it in the lower hole till it runs out the top hole?

I don't know the Oz it will hold, but yes, fill in the lower hole until it comes out the top. Also make sure the screw gaskets are in good shape.

should be less than a quart/liter container to fill
