HI mrsalmon. great old motor. I used to have a '61 10 hp. Regular old 80-90W marine gear oil is fine. You should be able to get it at any Wal mart, boat supply or autoparts store. You'll probably want/need to get a pump for it too. They should sell them right by the oil. Here are some pics and a handy link.
