At present, as most of you know to do any matanance or check anything on the out drive the boat has to be pulled from the water. I have been seeing some reference on other sites about a plastic container that connects to the lower unit from inside the engine compartment it is connected with a rubber tube and keeps the oil level where it should be, also providing the level and quality of the oil. My question is, Is there an after market application of this device?

Keep in mind this is not foolproof. If your drive starts losing oil and you see the level drop in the resevior. Get the boat out of the water and find the leak.
