lower unit oil

What type (Name brand) of marine lower unit oil do you guys recommend. I have a 2000 johnson 50 2 stroke (GL 5 oil needed) and a 1979 115 2 stroke that i havent checked oil type yet. Wanted to see about getting same oil for both. Posts i read say stay away from synthetic since motor units arent use to the slickness. Just wanted to see that you guys are thinking. Thanks. I like to try to stay with oem stuff if possible...but if others are as good...why not use them!!!

I stick with the OEM stuff. Good oil is cheap compaired to repairs.
