lower unit probleme??

i post a new time this one, no one cant help me everithing i can inspect whit my book is do.<br /><br />my lower unit go neutral and reverse good and smoot but to go on forward i have to give a lot of RPM to engage the gear and i look the wire green and blue and they pass the test for volmeter and ohmmeter the oil is good no water inside.<br />\<br />now my question do you think the 2 selenoyd inside the lower unit cant jam when i put on forward position?????? i suspect that because this tip of hydro shift run on forward in default mode so i think if the selenoid jam we ave to put more presure in the hydrolic systeme to pull off the selenoid do you think its posible or do you have another ideal please help me ??<br /><br />my engine is johnson 85hp 1969<br /><br />thank you!

I have the photo's of the lower unit, post your email and i will send them to you, seriuosly though, you are going to have to drop your lower unit and inspect the internals of your gearcase. you are simply guessing otherwise.

check and see if you have powern whenthe shifter is in nutral . those eletric shifts are supose to default to foward . this is a 72 or 73 evinrude or johnson ?. [ alwayse post modle # of motor]

papasage look my firts post my engine modle and motor is there anyway thats johnson 1969 85hp <br /><br />#85els69 and yes the neutral ave power at green wire and reverse at both green and blue and forward no power a tink its the cluch dog maybe?

sorry it was last and i guess is didnt see it .<br />i a havent ben into the 69 . i have ben into a 72 . i think the 69 is different. dont hjave a book on the 69 i have a 72 book and it stayes in foward till it cranks . i think the older ones need 12 volts to hold it in gear . git a manul if you dont have one . it will pay for itself . papasage

someone cant tell me if the cluch dog cant do that<br />i have to give alot of rpm to the forward cant run

Model # checks out as a 1969. Gear shift is the sames as a 72. Defaults to forward. Is the gearcase full of the CORRECT oil? Bombardier Premium Blend is what it needs.
