Lower unit question

Hello,<br /><br />I am just curious about what gear ratio I have in my lower unit. It is on a 1975 Johnson 70 hp motor. The lower unit may be from a 1978, though. The gear ratios are probably the same, right? If anyone has these ratios, I would appreciate it.<br /><br />Thanks,<br />cvlngineer

You can check that yourself by checking the amount of turns the flywheel is in relationship to the lower unit prop shaft.
