Lower unit seal kit

Got a 1995 op HP Force, three questions regarding lower unit seals:

1. Are there any special tools required to install a seal "kit"?
2. I'm pretty good mechanically, should I get a manual or is it pretty obvious? I have replacement impellers on many outboards and taken a Yamaha 8hp lower unit apart.
3. Is eBay the best deal, about $50 to have it shipped to me.

I would get a Clymer manual, or a factory manual.
Can never have too much information. One or two helpful tips will pay for the manual.

Depending on the model number and HP size the kit can run between 30 to 50 dollars plus shipping so 50 dollars probably is not a bad deal. Force made so many different models make sure you match the kit to the correct one.
