Hi<br />Does any one know if a lower unit from a 1979 50 hp will fit a 1983 50 hp. The only difference I see is my unit has the cutout for the anode above the trim tab.<br />Thanks for the help,Tom
The J & E 50's of that vintage were not four cylinder, they were two.<br /><br />Count the number of splines on the driveshaft of each.<br /><br />Accordingto the iboats locator, they seem to be the same.
