Ok, 1982 johnson 115 in good running condition. The other day my forward gear starts popping out, rev works fine. Sounds like clutch dog. I've got a 85 120, and everything fits perfect. swapped lowers, and now no reverse, same popping out of gear crap. It ratchets when you try to put it in gear, and never engages unless you hold it in by hand at the linkage with the cables disconnected, as soon as you let go, bam, out of gear. Anyone? Shift Rod adjustment? Clutch dog? P.o.s? I'm a commercial fisherman and I really need my boat.....HELP, MAYDAY!!!
